Microneedling

What is it?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine, sterile needles to create tiny, controlled punctures in the skin (collagen induction therapy). This triggers a natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production to reduce acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, and large pores, resulting in firmer, smoother skin.

Who is it for?

Microneedling is for adults individuals looking to improve skin texture, reduce acne scars, diminish fine lines, and boost collagen production. It is suitable for most skin types and tones, offering rejuvenation for dull, aging, or sun-damaged skin, and can be used on the face and body.

Do not undergo treatment if you have active acne, eczema, or rosacea.

Is it painful?

Minimal to mild discomfort, often described as a prickling or vibration rather than intense pain with the application of numbing cream. While some areas like the forehead are more sensitive, most people find it tolerable, with sensations often compared to a mild sunburn or sandpaper-like vibration.

How long does it last?

Results typically last 4–6 months, with optimal, long-term effects often lasting up to a year or more when a series of 3–6 sessions is performed. Collagen production continues for months post-treatment, though results are not permanent and require maintenance sessions every 6–12 months

Are there any side effects?

Common and Expected Side Effects (1–7 Days)

    • Redness (Erythema): The most common side effect, often appearing immediately.
    • Swelling and Warmth: Similar to a mild sunburn.
    • Dryness and Flaking: As the skin heals and rejuvenates.

  • Pinpoint Bleeding: Normal during the procedure.
  • Bruising: More likely on thinner skin or with deeper needle penetration.

Less Common and Rare Risks

Considerations

  • Avoid Sun: Freshly needled skin is highly sun-sensitive.
  • Avoid Irritants: Avoid Retin-A, harsh exfoliants, and alcohol-based products immediately after.
  • Professional Treatment: Side effects are significantly reduced when performed by a trained professional (e.g., board-certified dermatologist).
  • Medical Conditions: If you have a history of keloid scars, weak immunity, or are pregnant please let us know on consultation.

Filler - Available from 08/03/2026

What is it?

Dermal fillers are injectable gel treatments, often made of hyaluronic acid, designed to add volume, contour, and reduce wrinkles instantly.

  • Slight: Temporary lumps may occur, which usually resolve with massage.
  • Serious: Complications are rare but can include infection or allergic reaction.

Pre Treatment

Avoid Blood Thinners: Avoid anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, aspirin), supplements (St. John's Wort, Vitamin E), and alcohol for 2 days prior to minimize bruising.

Avoid Retinoids: Stop using anti-aging products like retinol or Glycolic acid for 2 days before.

Eat a Meal: Have a substantial meal before your appointment to prevent lightheadedness.

Polynucleotide

What is it?

Polynucleotide treatments are injectable skin boosters derived from marine DNA that regenerate skin at a cellular level, enhancing collagen, elastin, and hydration. They are great for under-eye puffiness and dark circles, as well as enhancing firmness, elasticity, and overall skin tone on the face and neck.

Who is it for?

While some clinics may treat from 18, they are typically designed for skin rejuvenation in adults looking to address early signs of aging or to regenerate skin, with, in some cases, 25-40 being a common range.

Is it painful?

Most patients report only mild discomfort, as it is a minimally invasive treatment

How long does it last?

Results typically last 6–12 months.

Are there any side effects?

  • At Injection Site: Pain, redness, swelling, bruising, bleeding, numbness, or itching.
  • General: Headache, tiredness, flu-like symptoms, neck pain, or indigestion.

Pre Treatment

Stop Medications & Supplements:

Discontinue aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, turmeric, St. John's Wort, and other supplements that increase bruising.

Avoid Active Skincare:
Stop using retinoids (retinol, tretinoin) and exfoliating acids.
